INSTA-STOP
INSTA-STOP hemostatic gauze is made of natural cotton (cellulose) and is refined, then sterilized. When the gauze is applied to a bleeding surface, and slight direct pressure is applied, the gauze absorbs fluid, and swells, reaching and blocking the end of the blood capillary from injury, stopping the bleeding and protecting the wound.

INSTA-STOP hemostatic gauze can be used on anyone who is bleeding. The desired choice of size is based upon the patients' bleeding control needs.

How does INSTA-STOP work?
When INSTA-STOP comes into contact with blood, it speeds coagulation and expands to a gel that adheres to the surface as it seals the wound. Upon applying INSTA-STOP hemostatic gauze to the bleeding area, it adheres to the surface and helps seal the damaged blood vessels. Once the gauze makes contact with blood, it expands to create direct pressure and helps stop bleeding (often within 45-60 seconds). Once INSTA-STOP hemostatic gauze has helped form a clot, it is water-soluble so it is easily rinsed away with sterile water, saline or hydrogen peroxide.
